A fictional detective created by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, first appearing in the 1887 novel A Study in Scarlet. He is famous for his deductive reasoning, observation skills, and use of logic to solve complex cases, often assisted by his friend Dr John H. Watson. Holmes is a master of disguise and uses various scientific methods, including forensic science.
In this 20-minute interactive course titled "Detective Academy with Sherlock Holmes" students partner with the famous detective to solve the mystery of Mrs. Hudson's stolen pastry. Through interviewing suspects like Professor Moriarty and Dr. Watson, participants learn to apply keen observational skills, practice deductive reasoning to connect clues, and eliminate impossible explanations to identify the culprit. The session ultimately aims to build confidence in problem-solving abilities while teaching you to spot details others might miss.
